My moving image work attempts to strip down popular and commercial documentary form, circumventing the use of character-driven stories and campaign-style modes of communication to establish another form which exists alongside, and in contrast to, broadcast and mainstream movies. My approach imagines documentary as a space that is open and engaging, searching and curious, and where the form acts in parallel with the content of the work.
